Once a year in Philly, a very special thing happens right around now: the award-winning Bend, Oregon Deschutes Brewery arrives anew. We have it all: their collaboration with Hair of the Dog, for one. Collage is the first in the Conflux Series (thus, No. 1); it’s an 11.6% strong ale that is the result of blending Deschutes Dissident and Stoic with HoD’s Fred and Adam. And then aging that blend in rye whiskey, cognac, sherry, pinot noir, (seriously, it keeps going) bourbon and 2 types of new oak, and reblending before the bottling. You might want to grab this one a few at a time and hold on to them for dear life. Just don’t forget to drink them.
The rest of the lineup is here as well. Obsidian Stout, Black Butte Porter, Inversion IPA, Chainbreaker White IPA, Red Chair, Mirror Pond. And Hop Henge, their big 10.4 ‘experimental’ IPA.
Join Matt Masson from Harrisburg, PA’s Tröegs Brewing Co. on Friday, March 29 from 5-7 to sample their entire lineup, including Dreamweaver Wheat, Tröegenator, and more.
Friday, March 22nd: a night to remember. OK, so it’s just our favorite Jerseyite brewery pouring samples from their entire lineup, but that’s got to be at least somewhat memorable, right? From 5 to 7pm. 8pm!
SATURDAY:
From 4-7 on Saturday, come sample the finest in canned wares from one of our favorite brewers. We’ll be pouring Back in Black, Bitter American, the new Lower de Boom barleywine, and Sneak Attack Saison.
